EXMOOR COTTAGE HOLIDAYS – Town Tenement Farm, Challacombe

Five traditional stone cottages, converted from a former farm, within the Exmoor National Park. All cottages are well appointed, with log fires and private enclosed gardens. They are surrounded by three acres of enchanting grounds including a wildlife pond and a delightful walk up and around Humphrey’s Hill, which has a wildflower meadow and excellent views of the surrounding hills. A small family business, we offer a peaceful and attractive environment, with clean and comfortable accommodation. Families and dogs are very welcome.

Within 300 yards are a local shop and Post Office, and an awrd-winning pub, the Black Venus, which serves good home-made food and real ales. The small parish of Challacombe is surrounded by excellent walks and is ideally placed to explore the spectacular North Devon coastline and the heart of Exmoor.

The Farmhouse: 2-storey, sleeps 6 – very spacious accommodation with separate sitting room (with inglenook fireplace), kitchen (with Rayburn) and dining room (with second TV). Downstairs WC and laundry room, three bedrooms upstairs (double, double or twin using ziplink bed, and twin), separate shower-room and bathroom, both with WC’s.

Inglenook Cottage: 2-storey, sleeps 5 – seperate sitting/dining room (with inglenook fireplace) and kitchen, three bedrooms upstairs (double, double or twin using ziplink bed, and single), bathroom with bath, shower & WC.

The Gatehouse: 2-storey, sleeps 5 – spacious sitting/dining room (with real fire) with kitchenette, two upstairs bedrooms (double and triple with single and large bunks), bathroom with bath (shower over) and WC.

Garden Cottage: single-storey, sleeps 4 – spacious sitting/dining room (with log stove) with kitchenette, two downstairs bedrooms (double and twin), wetroom with shower and WC

Wisteria Cottage: single-storey, sleeps 2/4 – separate sitting room (with log stove and fold-out double bed) and dining kitchen, double or twin bedroom using ziplink bed, shower-room with WC.
